Love the Granites!
Day 11 Anthocercis viscosa Lowlands Reserve, A plant a day, 4 November 2020
I love everything about granites, , I love the warmth of the stone where I bask and embrace my inner lizard, I love the geckoes and all the other granite loving reptiles, I love the resilient flora growing in granite , I love the views, I love the connection to Noongar Boodja , the lizard traps, karda mias, see my 2014 research at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OgvZe1Wd7D7g10KhqfLTN5nkNfhjw5_j/view
Anthocercis has recently been flowering profusely in the granite areas above Healing Beach and so close to the shore. Anthocercis viscosa is endemic to our south coast granite outcrops.
I like the scent of this bush and I’m curious about its thick sticky leaves, which sometimes trap insects. Could anthocercis be protocarnivorous? , like our trigger plants?
